I believe recording memories is a powerful force. We preserve the important because they capture a personal story, a timeline of our lives. They are uniquely ours, a story which can be shared with others. Photography can be woven together to form a narrative of our lives.

 

As a young woman I always remember being eager to drop off my disposable camera. I couldn't wait to revisit the narritve of the days/nights/months before.  For me, photography really started when I picked up my first point and shoot Coolpix. Little did I know that the camera would lead me to my first DSLR. Since then my love for capturing "the details" and "narritve" on film [and digitally] has continued to flourish.

 

I'm also a survivor, veteran, wife and a mother. My husband is in the military, and we have 3 handsome boys. Together we make up The Lazo Five. You will seldom find us indoors on a beautiful weekend. I love hiking, thrifting, discovering small town charm, learning the history of our area and patronizing new restaurants.
